1. Where is the classroom located?


The classroom is located at 815 Fallaw Road Gaston, SC.


2. What time is the driver's education class and what do I need to bring?


Students need to be on site at 7:45 AM. Parents/Guardians for students under 17 must come inside to complete registration paperwork. Class ends at 4:30. You must bring your valid beginner's permit for the class.


3. Is lunch provided?


Yes, please bring $5 cash for pizza and soft drinks. If you would like to bring your own lunch, there is a fridge and microwave that can be used.


4. How do I pay?


Payment options include: Cash, Check, Venmo, Cash App and Apple Pay. Cards not accepted at this time. Any and all services require the payment to be made in the correct amount. Receipts will be provided.


5. When do I schedule my behind the wheel training if participating in driver's education class?


You will schedule your behind the wheel training during registration. You and the instructor will arrange the location of pick up/drop off. Our desire is for your teen to complete their driver's education within 3 weeks of having taken the classroom portion.


6. Do I have to take the road test with Back to Basics?


The road test conducted by us is NOT mandatory. Please understand that the DMV may randomly select your teen to take an additional road test once you arrive to obtain the driver's license.


7. What will I be driving?


The car you will be driving is a 2010 or 2011 Honda Fit Sport. Even though this car is small and easy to manage, your teen will be taught to use reference points for backing, turning, and parking based on ANY car! Dashcams are in each car and record all driving sessions/tests.


8. What if I need to reschedule my behind the wheel training session?


Please call and let us know within 24 hours. If not, there is a $50 charge.

You are being taught by a certified police officer. We offer the kind of program you want your teen to attend! We will treat your teen like part of the family. The classroom portion is fun and interactive- not a day long series of videos. Cell phone coverage is unavailable in the classroom, so you don't have to worry about your teen texting their way through the class and not learning anything.
